Absolute TATTOOING

Our Artists

Every artist at Absolute has their own personal style, and each of them will happily show you a personal album of their own work. That album tells you more in five minutes than any description on a website. Ask when you come in.

Choosing the right artist for your idea

The single most useful thing you can do before committing to a tattoo, at this shop or any other, is look at an artist's own photographs of their own work. Not the shop's best pieces collectively, and not a mood board. One artist's album.

What you are looking for is consistency rather than a single impressive piece. Are the lines clean across every photo, or only in the best one. Is the black solid and even. Do the healed photos look as good as the fresh ones. Does the artist enjoy tattooing the kind of thing you want, or are you about to ask a portrait specialist to do a Japanese sleeve.

If your idea is not a fit for anyone here, we will say so. That is a better outcome for you than a booking.

What each artist leans toward

  • Eddie runs from realistic portraits to unusual new school work, and has tattooed only at this shop since 1997.
  • Scott Friedrich has tattooed since 1984 and works at every scale, from a small piece to a full back piece.
  • Paul tattoos and pierces, and came to Wisconsin from southwest Florida to stay.
  • Mandy works in new school and black and grey, and is the shop's go-to for lettering.
